January-October 2001: Environment Education through the opening up Wildlife/Environmental Clubs in schools and high institutions of learning and setting up of an agroforestry program. Among the beneficiaries of this project were the Communal village of Musange of the Butare Municipality Butare Province, the community of National University of Rwanda where 5000 ornamental and 7000 Agroforestry trees were planted, Students of Green Hills Academy and Remera Academy in Kigali and pupils of Kigali Parents School. This project was funded by International Wildlife Coalition- USA and other local organization supported the project technically and in supplying other materials like trucks for transporting trees. Those local supporters are : National Office for Tourism and National Parks-ORTPN and National University of Rwanda -NUR

February –November 2002: Big agro-forestry project in Butare, 300000 seedling of various agroforestry species were produced and planted in Communal villages of NYANZA and NGOMA in Butare province. These trees marked the opening of the National Tree Week 2002 with the presence of the Minister of State for Forestry. This project was implemented jointly with the directorate of the agriculture and environment in the Butare province financed by the Government of Rwanda through Butare province.
